FOLA’s Corporate Governance

FOLA began an unincorporated association in 1980. It was incorporated as a corporation without share capital on November 5, 1990, and is currently governed by the Ontario Not-For-Profit Corporations Act, 2010. Our members are Ontario’s county and district law associations.

FOLA’s Role in LiRN

LiRN is an Ontario share capital corporation. The Law Society of Ontario, the Toronto Lawyers’ Association, and FOLA are its shareholders. The following unanimous shareholder agreement outlines the governance of LiRN:
