The Federation of Ontario Law Associations (FOLA) is proud to announce that Chair Rasim “Sam” Misheal has been appointed as a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario, Family Court, in Welland. FOLA is pleased to announce that Allen Wynperle will assume the role of Chair of FOLA.
“FOLA congratulates Rasim “Sam” Misheal on his judicial appointment and warmly welcomes Allen Wynperle as the incoming Chair. This distinguished appointment reflects Sam Misheal’s dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment to the legal profession and his community,” said incoming chair Allen Wynperle.
Allen Wynperle brings a wealth of experience and a long-standing commitment to advocacy and justice to his role as Chair of FOLA. Beginning his career in personal injury litigation in 1994, Allen founded Wynperle Law in 2002 and, more recently, DWA Law in 2024, serving clients across the Hamilton, Guelph, and Niagara regions. With 30 years of experience, Allen’s roots in his community and the legal profession run deep and strong.
In addition to his legal expertise, Allen is the founding Chair of the Hamilton Chapter of the Canadian Paraplegic Association, past President of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, past President of the Hamilton Law Association, and most recently served as the committee chair of FOLA’s Practice Resource Centre.
“We are confident that Allen’s leadership and vision will guide FOLA to continued success in its mission to support Ontario’s legal associations and advance the interests of justice across the province,” said past chair Douglas Judson.
